Dressed In The Dark is a show that asks "Who taught you to talk to yourself?" It's about the inner dialogue, the voices in your head. Can you change your life by changing how you talk to yourself? Where does the inner voice come from anyway? What does modern psychology have to say? What about primitive psychology And things along those lines.
Each show we'll sit at the crossroad of thought and reality and see what we can see about how we talk to and hear ourselves.
Proper episodes come about about once a month. Each explores on aspect of what goes on in our heads when no one is looking. I'll speak will doctors, shrinks, mystic weirdos, the mentally ill, and anyone else who has something interesting or useful to say about the subject.
In between proper episodes there will be a few shorter, often goofier, ones. Usually they're about how I'm an idiot. An endless well of inspiration if there ever was one.
As for me, my name is T. Volpone. I've been meditating since the 6th grade and love Zen, African Dysphoric Religions (i.e. Voodoo), singing old songs, occultism, divination, and writing stories. I also like podcasts. In addition to this show, I write for The Saturday Evening Ghost, a web-zine that publishes all kinds of goofy shit. I write under the names A. Wizard and Hugo Holmesnow.
