I am a parent, health professional, food and garden educator, compost enthusiast and someone who cares deeply about food,  health and our environment.

I spent years working to change the food in my kid’s school, it was like pushing a rock up a steep hill. Once I moved from the cafeteria to outside, in the garden, I discovered huge possibility. School garden beds can be outdoor classrooms teaching math, science, social studies and art.

I found fertile ground at a nearby childcare center, where I helped to launch a food and garden program. Administrators at the center were committed to a good food philosophy on all levels. Garden beds sprung up along the perimeters of the playgrounds. Parents, teachers and school administrators saw with their own eyes: when kids grow food, they eat it.

Growing food, even just a little bit, can be a gateway drug to better health. You don't need to be a master gardener, you just need to be willing to your hands a little dirty!  I will show you how. Its  an easy and fun hobby that will grow with you over the years.
Join me on the journey that will lead to healthier kids and will help our planet too.
