About Me
I'm Evan Adams, writer, editor, and Creative Director over at The Fantasist. (The Fantasist has its own Patreon, if you want to support the magazine). I also have a writing blog called Mint and Brambles
For the past few years, my objective with my writing has been to create fun, lightweight, maybe even escapist fiction for and about marginalized people, so that we can have that, the same way cis-het white boys have like, most of fiction. I'm also leaving my job and the state I've lived in for the past while, so that I can do things like writing more, being in the same place as my husband, and living somewhere that isn't literally poisonous.
Tiers
Appreciation
$1 or more per month
*Your name (or whatever name you want) will go on the Supporters page of my blog.

*You get access to Patrons-only updates. (This includes regular pictures of my adorable cats).

Ask Me Stuff
$5 or more per month
In addition to the benefits of the $1 tier, you also get priority on your questions for the Advice Column posts on the blog, and to submit questions for the occasional Q&A (timing and frequency TBD).
Book Reviews
$18 or more per month only 12 left
I try to review two books a month on the blog, but the one I am absolutely committed to is one for *you*, dear Patrons. Patrons at this level are added to a list, which I will rotate through, and on your turn, you get to recommend me a fantasy novel or series, and I will read and review it (or the first book, if it's a series). Books that are not fantasy can be discussed on a case-by-case basis.
And you get all the benefits of the first two levels.
Book Reviews Waiting List
$18 or more per month
Due to the nature of time and calendars, the Book Reviews reward is restricted to 12 Patrons. Patrons at this Waiting List level get the benefits of the first two tiers, and will be notified when a slot opens up for Book Reviews. (Unless you don't want to be). Eventually this level will also have some other nice thing associated with it.
Editing!
$36 or more per month only 10 left
Stable income is better than one-off income, so at this level you get two hours a month of line-editing and/or developmental editing on any piece of fiction you're working on, for the price I would normally charge for 1 hour. For line-editing, two hours will cover about 3000 words; developmental editing is gonna be a little more variable. You also get all the benefits of the $1 and $5 levels.
Editing Waiting List
$36 or more per month
As with the book reviews, the number of slots for the Editing reward is limited by necessity. Patrons at this level will be the first to know if a spot opens up, and will eventually get some other nice thing as well. And of course you get all the benefits of the first two levels.
Goals
$9 of $78 per month
Movies! I go to enough movies with my husband an writing partner Will Waller that it makes sense for us to both have AMC A-list memberships. It more than pays for itself, but it's still an expense. At this level, I'll add a monthly movie review to my blog, talking about one of the movies I've just seen.
