About Kirsten Gow

I am a glass maker living and working on the windswept Isle of Jura off the west coast of Scotland.  I love this beautiful, challenging landscape any my work is inspired by the places, people and stories of the Inner Hebrides.

Whilst I mainly work with glass I have a love of exploring other materials and occasionally use silver, wood and found objects in my work.

I am also an experienced Arts Manager and have worked on a variety of creative projects for others, on a paid or voluntary basis, including producing exhibitions, developing opportunities for collaborative working, creating sustainable working practices and promoting the work of artists and organisations.

I have recently returned home after several years in Glasgow and am working on community projects in my day job whilst converting a space in an agricultural shed to become a studio space where I can produce my own work and invite others in to discover the joy of working with glass.
