The Electric and Networked Vehicle Institute is an open-community learning environment. What does that mean...? We offer hands-on engagement with advancements in technology. We focus on four main areas:
  • Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) - think drones and quadcopters
  • Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGV) - think self-driving cars, only smaller
  • Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUV) - think submarines, only smaller
  • Electric/Hybrid Vehicle (EV) development   - all things EV and battery-related
Those interested in UAV can learn how to fly, no drone required, and learn how to build and repair aerial drones. The UGV group focuses on providing insight into AI vehicle development and image mapping. The UUV group participates in the RoboSub competition which includes ROS (Robotic Operating System), Mavlink, Linux, Image Mapping, and much more. The EV group built the 1st Hybrid/Electric mini-moke (Jeep-like off-road vehicle) and is currently working on an electric sports car conversion. We encourage all to stop by and take a look inside.
