I am currently looking after my elderly disabled dog 24/7 and I need to be able to work from home to take care of him, so making a living from home is his lifesaver. So my 'About Me' page is more about his only survival means and how you can help enable to make this possible for Spike.
Spike is a Yorkshire Terrier, he was hit by a car when he was 2yrs old when my ex-h called him out too close to the road, (I only recently found this out too from a neighbor), Spike was considered so badly hit that the vet suggested after 3 days in the vets emergency care room that I should take him so he could die peacefully at home in my arms. He was just too broken up for surgery and was in such a terrible state death was inevitable.  My ex meanwhile disappeared with shame and guilt...thank god!
So I took my best buddy Spike home with me, but I was determined for a miracle to happen.
Well, this is the story I want to write about to encourage others to possibly help their animals live a long and happy life.
This is the story of Spike my miracle dog as the vets later called him, who should never have walked again! He had a broken spine, broken pelvis, broken hip, 5 breaks in his leg and a claw ripped out when the car hit him. This was 11yrs ago, they said he would never walk and would probably need his leg and tail amputated, so I should consider putting him to sleep.  He is now 13yrs old and loving life!
I since qualified in Holistic Healing for animals to enable me to help Spike to the best of my ability.
But to enable me to take the time to write and illustrate this love story between a little dog and his owner I need your help to support me to do this.
I cannot get a normal job as Spike cannot be left longer than about 2-3hrs, it could be life-threatening my vet told me, so I am trying to forge a way to make a living from home with the limited skills that I have.
But painting and writing and other creative skills I am learning could enable me to do just this.
Spike is healthy and certainly has many more years left in him if I keep up this 24/7 care.
So I shall begin.....
Thank you for taking the time to read this and I look forward to sharing this wonderful story of resilience we have both come through and are still facing each day.
I will be making some videos soon too so you can see Spike and myself in action! I hope you will enjoy our journey and if this inspires anyone making a similar decision for their beloved pets I am here to help too!
