This is a double-reward tier! First, we'll send you a personalized and handwritten card with a Fictionist sticker.
Then, you can pick *one* of the three following rewards:
1. Pick a book for us to review
2. Send in your own book review (we'll publish it!)*
3. Pick an author for us to reach out to for a Q&A -- if we can't get a hold of them or their agent/publisher, we'll let you know and you can choose a different reward!
*We will absolutely publish your review, but we reserve the right to edit for grammar, spelling, and obscenity. We reserve the right to edit any piece published on our site.
Fictionist Magazine is dedicated to providing book-related news, reviews, interviews, and more to our readers without being affiliated with a publisher. Our content is just that — our own.
Fictionist was created in mid-March 2017, after a Tumblr post highlighted the need for a neutral YA-focused magazine. A group of bloggers got together to make that dream a reality. Right now, Fictionist is run by a group of bloggers, editors and designers who are working for free to bring Fictionist into the world.
Our goal, first and foremost, is to pay our writers and editors! They started out by donating their valuable time to our site, and now we're glad to report that we've started paying a few bucks per article thanks solely to our Patreon donations. We're forever grateful for you all.
Our podcast, Fiction Forward, is currently on hiatus while a co-host is recovering from illness. In the meantime, here's our pilot episode, and the podcast can be found on both iTunes and Google Play.
Fiction Forward focuses on gender and POC (people of color) representation in YA, and why it's an important topic. Learn more by listening today! If you want to listen to outtakes, "call in" to the show, or get an episode before it airs, make sure to donate and claim your reward!
You can easily reach us on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook!

How to pledge a one-time donation
We've been asked how Patrons can pledge a one-time donation rather than monthly ones. This is a great question! If you'd like to help us out but you'd prefer to only be charged once, feel free to pledge the amount of your choice (if you'd like to forgo any frills, you can also choose to donate without any perks) and confirm your pledge. Once the charge goes through and is verified, delete your pledge completely via Patreon, and you will not be charged for any subsequent months! We apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for helping Fictionist's writers and editors!
Help us outside of Patreon
Head on over to Redbubble to purchase vinyl stickers, pillows, phone cases, notebooks, mugs and more to support us! Note: We only get a percentage of these sales, so if you want the money to go directly to us, Patreon may be a better alternative -- Redbubble is great, though, and feel free to buy as much branded merch as you'd like!
Here's a direct link to Redbubble.
We're also accepting ads on our site! We have set prices for all ad sizes, and we'll even design an ad for you! Email us for more details.
Transparency is important to us! If you have a question about how articles get written or edited, how Q&As are put together, or anything else, connect with us and we'll answer all of your questions!
Our first $100!
This will go, first and foremost, toward paying our writers (even if it isn't as much as we want to pay them yet). Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for allowing us to pay our team members and our hosting fees!
