Frida Dawson

is creating dance

To start; you may be wondering. "What the heck is Patreon?" Instead of Google, let ME tell you what you will find.
"Patreon is a way to join your favorite creator's community and pay them for making the stuff you love. -- This means the creator gets paid regularly(every time she releases something new), and you become a bonafide, real-life patron of the arts. That’s right--Imagine you, in a long frilly white wig, painted on a 10-foot canvas on the wall of a Victorian mansion. And imagine your favorite creators making a living doing what they do best… because of you."

Now that you have some background, let's get to it!

Hello friends and family and possible strangers, If we haven’t met, my name is Frida Dawson! I am a dancer living in Los Angeles, CA. Since moving here, I keep crashing through goals that once seemed impossible. I am beginning my third year here in LA and have dreams expanding wider than I could ever imagine.

I do not feel it's necessary to list my accomplishments to you all, but will highlight a few of my favorites. In this past year I had the pleasure of being a part of a film by Megan Lawson and traveled to Italy to assist her at an event called Mediterraneo Dance Festival. I was in a Spotify vertical music video for the artist Wingtip, choreographed by Ashley Robicheaux. Worked alongside some incredible artists for a few choreography and music videos for Matt Cady. Performed at the World Choreography Awards with Alexander Chung. But most importantly, I have decided to begin a journey of creating, directing, and producing my own choreography, pieces, and projects! It was in Italy where I realized that there are no bounds to my dreams as a creator, all it takes is intention, focus, and support.

You may be wondering… “Where is she going with this?” Let me tell ya!

In order for my creating to ignite, I am going to need some help. Generosity is an incredibly important value of mine. I grew up in an environment where I was nurtured by generous families, studios, teachers, and mentors. It was generosity that shaped me not only into the artist I have <g>become,</g> but also into the person that I am. I have made a decision that I want <g>my fundamental</g> values of my life to be reflected in the art that I create. I want these values to be the foundational elements of all that I create. And in order for my generosity to expand I need to be better at welcoming it from others. With that being said, here is where I have turned to PATREON. All funds that I receive through Patreon will go to help fund the projects I dream of, the artists I collaborate with and the materials need to complete each goal with. I will be offering as much as I can in return to each of my backers. It may be sneak peeks, or behind the scenes content, thoughts, handwritten letters, post cards from foreign places, and endless thank you's. Most importantly when deciding to become a Patron, you will be building into the future of an extremely eager young artist who plans on accomplishing some very big things!
