I'm David.I've spent 20+ years working with technology. My current role is Senior Infrastructure Architect at Prophecy Networks Ltd in New Zealand, with a specific interest in networking, systems, open-source, and business management.
I've had a book published (on PHPList, and open-source email campaign manager), and I blog on topics that interest me.
I'm writing the Geek's Cookbook to record my journey in setting up an optimal HA cloud platform for my own, self-hosted use. In the process, I'm learning new skills re cloud architecture, container orchestration, continuous integration, and automation.
I'm releasing the Geek's Cookbook as an ebook, and I plan to offer personal consulting services to patrons who want to build work-alike systems themselves.

Goals
30 – reached! patrons
30 is 10 x 3 (the mailing list goal). A discussion forum is about 10 x as cool as a mailing list, so when we reach 30 patrons, I'll setup a discussion forum.
