Did you just join my team of patrons?! Yes, yes you did. THANK YOU! As an official patron, you'll have access to my patron-only feed with project updates and content creation tips once every month.
Every month, we'll have a patron-only drawing that will give you a chance to win some special artisticgoodies.
My name is Pamela Henry-Walker and I am an artist trying to make a living off my own talents. I want to thank all of you art lovers out there who have taken a look at my work. I love creating and designing my own unique art just for you. You are a very important factor to my desire to be creative.I am grateful to have your attention and patronage.
I believe that we were all blessed with all the special talents that we need to live in this world, so I am going to use my God given talents to put food on the table. My art keeps me busy, but sometimes it takes a while to make a sale. Because of this, I need funds for more supplies, and advertising costs to get more customers.
I started Henwak Gallery in 2000 and it has gone through many changes in those 18 years. Needless to say, with life's ups and downs, becoming a wife, mother, with bills and mouths to feed, there wasn't much money to go around. I am a visual as well as a performing artist, but my focus has been on creating affordable art that everyone can enjoy. I love creating paintings and my recent work has been bead paintings. Creating paintings with glass beads is quit challenging but calming to my spirit. Although I work with acrylic, watercolor, and pen & ink, I sometimes like to do things that no one else around me is doing. Check out my website to see more of my work. Henwak Gallery
In 2015 I began to make hair accessories that are similar to my paintings. It is my way of creating affordable art that people can wear in their hair. With your help I can buy supplies, start marketing in different areas to promote my work, and still be able to keep food on the table.
I want to do more than paint a pretty picture for people. I use my art to also uplift and inspire those who need it the most. I worked with Step Up For Kids and donated my time and artistic talent to paint some stepping stools for their hand washing program for kids. It was so rewarding and fun to do.
Currently, I am in the process of having a fundraiser called Art for Ora Lee for the Ora Lee Smith Cancer Research Foundation. I am donating some of my paintings and hair accessories to be sold and 100% of the proceeds will go to the foundation. This event will begin November 1, 2017 and end November 1, 2018, so I am in need of all the help I can get to buy supplies and help with shipping costs. If things go well I would like to expand this date so I can donate even more to Art for Ora Lee.
My latest venture is to get a display of my hair accessories or hair candy, as I call it, in all kinds of stores. For now I have a display at the Gateway Mall in the Prescott Art Market, and The Tis Art Center and Gallery in Prescott Arizona. Let's see what happens next. I would love to be in beauty salons.
So you have it, my dream is to put a piece of my art in everybody's hands or hair, and brighten up the land. I want to touch everyone in this world with my art and see what a difference it could make for all of us.
