What I'm doing: Weekly Modern Day Elves
I post 1-3 drawings of modern elves per week on Instagram. They are not modelled after anyone or any photo.

Why elves?
Recently, I started practising pen drawings, reproducing from photographs of real people in magazines. While I learnt a lot, it quickly got boring and tedious. I needed some fun thrown in. And I did just that by drawing less-realistic cartoony human faces, here and there, remembering to apply things I learned from the human drawing practices. Pointy ears just found themselves there in the first doodle. I loved the juxtaposition between an element of J.J. Tolkien-style fantasy and modern clothings that I'd wear any day. Before I knew it, it became a fun project I wanted to commit myself to.

What else is going on?
I'm exploring different ways to use my drawing skills to express ideas and tell stories. I'm currently not working full-time, so I'm using this opportunity to experiment with web comics, games and emoticons as means of making living. Once I decide which one to focus on, I'd kickstart the project. The elf project is likely to continue for at least 3 more months from now regardless of the decision.

Can you draw anything other than elves?

I definitely can draw human ears too. Probably even better than I can elven ears. I'm open for commissions, so feel free to enquire within.
Tiers
Modern Elf Appreciation Club

You also want to meet elves that can withstand pollution, income inequality and other myriads of problems of the modern world we live in. These elves have evolved from living with bows in light armours and forests. And you appreciate the miracle.
Plus One Demand Club
$5 or more per month only 10 left
1-3 weekly elves aren't enough for you. You can demand 2-4 once your club has gathered 10 people in the party.
Goals
$0 of $500 per month
If there is enough love for the elves I invite to this world, I'll finally buy a graphic tablet and start working on web comics that may or may not feature the elves. This would be my dream come true.
