I'm Howard Heyman, and I create detailed and lengthy videogame reviews. Nothing is more important to me than understanding and recognizing the merit and worth of the creators of the media that I enjoy, and that is my main purpose when it comes to writing.

Some of my favorite reviews have been for games like Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the MoonThe World Ends With You and Persona 5.

Besides reviews, I also write thesis length analyses of some of my favorite games, like NieR Gestalt and NieR: Automata, where I deconstruct, analyze and explain what is so appealing and unique about these games. Though few and far between, they are some of my best works.

Patreon is platform that allows content creators such as myself to earn money for their work through crowdfunded donations in a regular monthly fashion. It is a great way for content creators to receive direct support from their fans and followers and create more and better content that is tailor made for their interests without sacrificing integrity. It is also a good way to foster a sense of community between a content creator and their audience.

This decision was necessary for me to continue my writing endeavors and further expand the output of my content. Through Patreon, I'll be able to better meet the requests of my readers through polls that decide what games I review, or other such means. Patreon also allows me to become closer to my fans by interacting with them on a personal level in regards to my content.

The money I get through Patreon will allow me to dedicate more time to my content, such as my projects of a larger scale like my thesis length game analyses. That money will also go to equipment that will allow me to improve the quality or variety of my content, or even branch out into other means of content production such as podcasting or fully edited Youtube videos in the same style as my written reviews.

Giving back to my fans is very important for me, as I'm extremely thankful for any bit of support that you might give me. For that reason, I have prepared three reward tiers that I'm sure will be enticing enough for you to consider donating.

PROFESSIONAL HOBO TIER

With this tier, you can receive exclusive access to monthly or otherwise regular polls that decide what title I'm going to be focusing on next as well as other Patreon posts.

PROFESSIONAL FURNITURE TIER

With this tier, you can receive credit for your monthly contribution in every single one of my reviews. Your name will be commemorated in a "Special Thanks" segment of my review. Of course, you also receive access to the reward of the previous tier.

PROFESSIONAL PARTNER TIER

With this tier, you can become a part of the review making process. You will be given the opportunity to submit a game of your choice to the poll, and even be credited in the review if your game wins. You also gain access to the previous two rewards
Keep in mind that I curate the games that enter the poll based on quality and attainability.

My content normally comes out in an orderly fashion, releasing one review a month. After playing through a game, which can take a short or long amount of time depending on the title, I will begin to outline my points in the review, which will take one to two days. Then, I will expand upon those points as I write the review, once again taking one to two days of writing. Finally, I will work on the accompanying images for a day before releasing the review at a time where all my followers should be active. At most, the review process takes up to 5 days, with the rest of the time depending on how long the individual game is. Shorter games may lead to reviews written in a shorter span of time and vice versa.

My game analyses have a similar schedule, just without the image making part. These take about a whole week of intensive writing and outlining before I can release them, though they may take longer if I'm particularly busy.

The Patreon page is set up so that you only have to pay whenever I make a new review. I made it this way so that you don't have to pay for missing reviews just in case external influences stop me from releasing my regularly scheduled monthly reviews. I can change this to a monthly setting in case I produce more than a single review every month, or expand to writing more than just reviews. Let me know what you prefer once you become a Patron.

At the time of writing this, I've been writing reviews for about a year and a half, and I'm really thankful for some of the responses I've gotten from some of them. I hope that with Patreon, this journey can only go uphill. Most of all though, I want to thank every single one of you for taking your time to read through this whole thing and considering donating money to support my cause. Without you, none of this would even be possible. And to all future or potential Patrons, your support means so much to me.

I hope you have a good day, and I will try my hardest to not only make this Patreon thing work for you, but to make content that you will enjoy. Once again, thank you for everything.

Goals
$11 of $20 per creation
Arbitrary goal!

If I achieve this goal, I'd be far more motivated to do better Patreon content. I'd also have enough of a community to make my reward tiers work close to what I intend.

This is also a reminder that all of these goals are arbitrary, and do not necessarily imply that I will do things depending on how much money I get.
