Hello everyone!

"...Military history fans of the world, unite!..."
Once upon a time even Karl Marx used to say this... Well, not, actually it never did happen.

What we are and what do we do:
We are two brothers from Rome, Italy; Riccardo and Giovanni Iacobini.
- Giovanni: I have been a former Officer in the Alpine troops (mountain infantry elite troops) in the Italian Army, actually in reserve and working in the private sector, married with two children.
 I have always had two passions throughout my life: arts (I studied in arts school before my military career) and military history
- Riccardo:  International Relations M.A. graduate with a dissertation on military history, after some experience abroad in my post-univ. days, I am now a management consultant in international standards.
My strong passions are also two: aviation and military history.

Since our younger years, we have always been fascinated with military history (mostly, stretching from the end of the XVIII century to the XX century), collecting tons of books, pamphlets and magazines with stories, biographies or personal diaries about to the feats of von Manstein, Patton, Zhukov and the likes.

We have been constantly sad though, realizing that the most famous publications were almost always concerning the history of the armed forces and military units of Germany, U.S., Soviet Union and Britain.
For many years we have been literally hungry for a finely detailed and thoroughly researched history of the many Italian (or for that reason, among others, Greek, Romanian or Hungarian) military units involved.

Another point of concern was the lack of detail in the many publications written in italian language, and the non-analytical nature of many history books.

We then asked ourselves; why couldn't we start working on an "unit's diary" book and publish it not only in Italy, but internationally?

We approached the problem with this mentality and with the goals to provide:
- extremely detailed day-to-day action reports of a determined unit (Division sized);
- detailed maps with a graphic representation of main actions and troops' movements (armoured, infantry and artillery units) and anything related to single event / day;
- intensive archive research (italian army and air force archives) ;
- personal expeditions in the field, to assess the reality of the terrai, with inclusion of before-after photos of important part of the front-line;
- research into private soldier's statements, whenever possible, to provide further in-depth awareness of the general actions of the units involved

Our goal:
Our main target is to create a series of books, which will provide a written testament to the many (until now) unknown soldiers who fell during the war and who have been unjustly forgotten.

Our first work:
- The Italian Armoured Units in the Balkan Campaigns during World War Two (Greece-Albania-Yugoslavia = October 1940 / April 1941)

We would like to thank anyone who will believe in our project.
