About Isabelle Schuler

"I'm just a girl, standing in front of a poet, asking him to make more sense..."

I started a wonderful(ly crazy) musical project in September 2017. The plan? To write a song for every sonnet written by William Shakespeare in 365 days. Well, that sort of happened. I wrote nearly 30 songs, but then I joined up with Martha Reed and we created the Women's Month Video Series, Hots for Shakespeare short film, and are now producing another film.

However, in the midst of all of this, I want to get back to music. It's always been my outlet and a way for me to explore my creativity. So I'm revisiting the sonnets, as well as writing music found in Shakespeare, and inspired by his plays, poetry, and soul... well maybe less about that last part.

I would really love your support in making Shakespeare more accessible, and therefore increasing access to education. If you can make Shakespeare make sense, then surely Literature Studies won't be so bad!
