THANK YOU!  A buck doesn't seem like much, but trust me, it adds up with all the other dollars and helps out a lot!
  • You'll have an entry each time I do a Patreons-only giveaway!  Holy cow!  Look for special unreleased photos, books, cards, prints, art concepts for my book covers, and yes, even original Quaintings!  There will be *at least* one drawing per month! Just a dollar for an original Quainting?  How awesome is that??

About Jay

By becoming a patron, you enable me to create a great new form of art I call Quainting. It's a charmingly odd clever mixture of both painting and quilling. Each Quainting takes about 100 hours to complete.

I am inspired by Vincent Van Gogh. Reading about him, I learned that he was disgusted with his Starry Night. It's just unfathomable that one of his most renowned paintings was also one of his biggest failures. Why? It was flat. He said he piled on the paint, trying to evoke a three dimensional image, but the contours he painted in flattened out when it dried. Quainting is my answer to his conundrum!Your support here on Patreon inspires me, coloring my whole world with gratitude and possibilities. In addition to Quainting, I write books, short stories, and other little tidbits that, as a patron, will be available only to you!

I also like photography; the photos I take of the area I live in inspire my Quaintings as well as serving the backdrop for some of the scenes in my books!

As a patron, you're invited to a front row seat to my life as an artist, my studio, my creation successes and failures. You get to see, before anyone else (and maybe exclusively) what I'm working on up-to-the-minute!

I promise to get better at video making, photography, and Quainting as we go along creating the world around us, arm in arm, artist and patron, friends. Can you imagine how fantastic it would be to claim Vincent and Leonardo as friends? That's actually a sneak peek into the book I'm writing NOW.

My goals:
  • Watch the night sky & nature on Earth.
  • Make art that inspire gratitude and embody life.
  • Write great stories that captivate imaginations.
  • Document the process and invite you to join me!
  • Live NOW, in this moment. Now is really all we have because we can't change the past and the future hasn't yet unfolded.

Thank you, dear Patron, for supporting Art!  Thank you to Patreon for making it possible; this place is awesome...

Doing all this rolling paper by hand is tough on the wrists!  When I get to the $25 level, I'll be able to get a tool made to make all that much easier.  Pa (my father) is drawing up the plans, but I have to get to this level before he'll actually build it for me.  It's a personal challenge from him to YOU and I!  Think we can make it sooner rather than later?  I guess we'll see!
