Through an imaginative exploration of time, might we create a new narrative to deepen human connection and transform society?  To investigate this question, I created an immersive installation (see above video) transforming reclaimed materials into a multi-media, science-fiction wonderland of three-dimensional environments. The installation fully enveloped the viewer in a physical space that portrayed the antiquated headquarters of a time-traveling, revolutionary team of creative scholars and artistic activists. Their mission was to promote change by intervening in pivotal moments of history to secure peace and cosmic justice for all. The recognition that we are all part of a collective spirit is what I wanted to portray through the installation.

The ability to combine storytelling with building to create a completely immersive environment that physically bridges reality and imagination, strikes me at my core and is what I enjoy most about creating. Through constructing of spatial visions, I can see the underside’s true form of an object to be re-imagined in a new context.  Considering space, light, sound, and being aware of the balance of sensory information is constantly kept in mind. My influences are vast and include childhood nostalgia, clubhouses, museums, home improvement projects, and Infinite Imagination. My passion for visual art stems from the power Art can evoke. The creative process is empowering in itself. It can give meaning and sense to the jumbled complexities of the contemporary world. As a societal human, I look to make order out of an unending tangle of information. Creating order out of this tangled web, finding method in the madness, and developing process through action are all reasons that I keep the imagination strong and continue down this pathway of patience, perseverance, and growth.

This pathway is filled with exploration, development, and creation that takes both time and money.  My biggest fear in life is not having enough time to create all the ideas swirling in my imagination.  With each new piece created, dozens of new ideas take seed and grow.  For many years, I have utilized every precious moment in the studio and borrowed time to balance the endless tasks of parenting and homemaking.  I have tried relentlessly to make this artist's life work and avoid that "job job" that might pay the bills, but take time and energy from my creative labor, development, and momentum.  Creating art is a labor of love -- a passion -- a sacrifice -- and joy.  A monthly pledge will allow more time to create, provide better focus on the core of my ideas, and sustain the freedom to create with more honesty and integrity. By pledging, you can help lessen my daily anxiety and that internal dialogue that surfaces several times a year taunting me to find other means of consistent income.  Pledging can help me continue to create year round.  It can help me interpret my ideas more fully to make the world a more beautiful, thoughtful, and mysterious place.  Patrons will have the option to trade in credit for art anytime.  If your walls are full, however, and you want to support my creative vision, your generous pledge is a way to keep my momentum, imagination, and creations rolling out into the world.  For all those who experienced Time-Shift Paradox first hand, you now realize the magic that this kind of art contains.  Its transformative and powerful and can change the world.
