About

I'm the Irrepressible Logic Monkey, creator of the comic Re-Tail (https://web.archive.org/web/20191007121534/https://retailcomic.net/) and maker of the kids' book "The Adventure of Jump the Shark and Sera Mermaid." (https://www.amazon.com/dp/1096698005) And Jump the Shark was only the beginning.

See, now that I have a kid, I'm quickly discovering that the field of children's books is severely lacking in awesomeness. It could use more magic swords and airships and space dragons at the very least. It could do with some respect for fatherhood and for older, more gritty versions of fairy tales that were meant to actually prepare a kid to face the dark world around us. Most of all, we could use some stories that won't bore you to tears when your kid asks you to read them. I want more.

The Dream Corps are more than just a financial backbone as I forge ahead on this media making frenzy. The Corps vote on which projects I work on, get access to first drafts and concept sketches, and shapes the direction I go.

While I have to spend most of my time at a day job, it looks like I'll be focused on black and white books. Get me enough to work part time instead of full time, and we'll go back to full color, illustrated books.
