Hi. I'm Josie. I write stuff. I draw stuff. Sometimes I'm funny.

Everything I create is based on a real life experience or conversation. I've seen some stuff, so sometimes there's a life lesson tucked away in my stories.

Here are the projects I'm working on that I hope you'll be a part of and help to grow:

  • The Blog:  I'm not going to sugarcoat it- sometimes life hands you a crap sandwich. This is not my first trip to the buffet, and it's probably not yours either. I've learned some things about living, coping, evolving, and coming out of it ok. So, pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and let's talk about it over a cup of coffee.

  • The Comics
    • Good Talk, Good Talk   My 20 something son has a brain that works a little differently than most people. He might be an alien. Or a robot. We have some unconventional everyday conversations. I usually write them down and have begun to put them into comic form. My goal is to collect a healthy amount of these conversations and publish them into a single collection. Until then, I will be uploading them weekly if possible. Bonus: Cameo appearances from my sister who asks questions like: "Can I boil lettuce?" and "Why is salt so crunchy?"
    • Minimum Wage Blues  I've probably worked every minimum wage job you can think of- there are stories to be told. These tales will be illustrated in comic form. See above stuff about weekly comics and collections.
    • Miss Josie's House of Misfit Cats  There are a lot of cats who live here, and none of them are low maintenance. I'll share their stories and how they drive me nuts. Comics will be released regularly until there are enough to compile an awkward yet lovable collection. A percentage of sales from House of Misfit Cats projects will go toward Cleveland animal shelters and rescues. Only after I've stocked up on catnip, of course.

  • The Random Projects
    • There are other projects kicking around on the back burner: a spooky 'children's' book, a collection of Cleveland stories, some small independent press publishing. As funds allow, these projects could become reality and allow some starving artists to be not so starving.

If you like what you see, please follow along and tell a friend. Your participation makes it possible for me to do these creative things that I love. Thank you for being here and for supporting my evolution as a writer and an artist.
