Hi. I'm Josie. I write stuff. I draw stuff. Sometimes I'm funny.

Everything I create is based on a real life experience or conversation. You'll meet my odd family and get to experience the weirdness of the city. I've seen some stuff, so sometimes there's a life lesson tucked away in my stories.

Here are the projects I'm working on that I hope you'll be a part of and help to grow:

  • The Blog- Sink or Swim I'm not going to sugarcoat it- sometimes life hands you a crap sandwich. This is not my first trip to the buffet, and it's probably not yours either. I've learned some things about living, coping, evolving, and coming out of it ok. So, pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and let's talk about it over a cup of coffee.

  • The Weekly Cartoons  My son says that my artwork is "not the worst [he's] ever seen", so I've got that going for me.
    • This is How Adults Talk   My 23 year old son lives with me and has a brain that works a little differently than most people. He might be an alien. Or a robot. We have some unconventional everyday conversations. I usually write them down and have begun to put them into comic form. My goal is to collect a healthy amount of these conversations and publish them into a single collection. Until then, I will be uploading them here weekly. Bonus: Cameo appearances from my sister who asks questions like: "Can I boil lettuce?" and "Why is salt so crunchy?"
    • Miss Josie's House of Misfit Cats  There are a lot of cats who live here, and none of them are low maintenance. I'll share their stories and how they drive me nuts. Comics will be released regularly until there are enough to compile an awkward yet lovable collection. A percentage of sales from House of Misfit Cats projects will go toward Cleveland animal shelters and rescues. Only after I've stocked up on catnip, of course.
    • This Really Happened   I've lived in the city for the better part of my life. Crazy stuff happens. Now you can be a part of it without actually living in the city. See above stuff about weekly comics and collections.

  • The Return of Cursive
    • I make stuff. My love of fonts (especially cursive) knows no bounds. There will be hand-lettered art available to loyal patrons throughout the year. Please see the subscription tiers for more information.

Thank you for being here and for helping me to evolve as a writer and an artist.  I'm excited to share these projects with you. I never thought that I'd be able to support myself doing the things I love, but your participation makes it possible. Much love and appreciation.
