About Klaus Berkling

Hello Fans!
I'm so happy you're here. I appreciate your interest in my work.

Some Background:
A few years ago a picked up my old photography hobby. Sometime in high school my parents bought me a Pentax K-1000 camera. I guess my parents wanted to wait and see if I was serious about photography – I must have been convincing enough for them to also buy me a couple more lenses. I now had a macro/wide angle lens, a 80-200mm zoom and the prime lens that came with the camera. Some 23 years later I still have it:

I've since updated the camera and lenses and went all digital. Below is my current Pentax K-30 and the accumulated variety of lenses:

What I Do Now:
For the last few years I have been taking pictures of the swimmers of the Stockton Swim Club. I take pictures of the swimmers in the water as well as around the pool as opportunity presents itself. The best pictures are those when they are not looking. I make pictures are available to the team.

What Else Do I Do:
I also do some landscape and art/abstract photography.

Why Patreon?
I appreciate all those who like & share my images on Facebook or Twitter, especially those who compliment me in person on my photography. Their support is invaluable.

Being a patron allows me to continue to provide access to new photos of swimmers but also off-set the cost of this hobby. You will get access to the high resolution images, otherwise not available, that you need for those large prints. You can contribute as little as a dollar or as much as you like. You can stop at any time.

As a patron you'll also have access to posts on this page for the stories behind the picture. Photography is not (always) quick drive-by snapshots...

Costs You Help Off-Set:
There is a cost associated with maintaining and replacing equipment like ever-increasing storage needs for the image files, computer hardware/software, and of course lenses and cameras.
I have plans to replace add to my K-30 camera and also update the lenses for better image quality.

Thank You For Being A Patron.
