About Kirsten Webb

22 September 2018: I'm in the midst of redesigning this Patreon, including its goals and rewards. Thanks for being here and for your generous patience!

Welcome. Thank you for believing in your bones that art is food, music is food, well-spun words are food, food is medicine, and there is so much to go around.

Let's Play

As a writer, performer, musician, artist, wildcrafter, healing practitioner, and event producer, I love to bring words, visions, stories, songs, medicine, and experiences from imagination into reality. To share nourishment, in all its forms. To explore ways of being and offer rich new realities for us to explore together.

I'll be posting writing, new projects, songs, works-in-progress, videos, event announcements, plant stories and recipes, calls for submissions and collaborations, and other goodness in my Patron posts, which you can find if you scroll down.

Thank you for being here. Thank you for your curiosity, your vision, your presence and realness.

Let's create worlds together.

Goals
$6 of $1,200 per month
The next big step of my creative journey is to bring the Traveling Medicine Tavern into being. This is a vision and project that feels interwoven with my heart—if we've spent time together in the past few years, you've probably heard me talk about it. And maybe you're excited about it too: part roving apothecary, part mobile tea den and wildcrafted speakeasy, part pop-up performance venue, the aim of the Traveling Medicine Tavern is to gather and nurture community as it offers a safe space for anyone to learn about health and herbalism, receive remedies, imbibe wildcrafted food and drink, take in magical live performances, and share the experience of imagination, inclusivity, and festival. Wherever it sets up, it creates sweet space around it—a space of imagination and delight where anything can happen; where anyone can come and receive nourishment, medicine, support, and herbal wisdom; where people and communities can form, merge, evolve, and create together.

Wherever it goes, the Traveling Medicine Tavern will bring and nurture delight, nourishment, community, imagination, music, magic, and medicine—a sense of wonder, abundance, and possibility grounded in real, wild food, drink, remedies, conviviality, beauty, and a simplicity borne of interweaving with place, season, moment, and planet. This is an experience that’s available to anyone—the Traveling Medicine Tavern welcomes everyone, and the gift economy factors deeply into its workings.

What do you think? Does this sound like fun? (For visual inspiration for the vision, check out my Pinterest—link to the right.) With patronage support, I’ll be able to devote much of my time to making this vision even more of a reality—I’ll research mobile unit possibilities and connect with people who can help make it happen; start and tend to even more batches of herbal beers, wines, elixirs, tinctures, infused vinegars, honeys, dried herbs, and wild treats; and continue inventing installations, events, and other happenings the TMT could host.

I’m also open to ideas about this! When you hear “Traveling Medicine Tavern,” what does it mean to you? What would you love to experience, imbibe, see, or hear? Where might the TMT visit, set up camp, or appear? Let me know in patron post comments or email me here: [email protected]
