hi, i'm kitty! i am a singer, songwriter, music producer, soundtrack composer, and sometimes a writer, voice actress and visual artist! i'm from daytona beach, florida and i'm 26 years old.

a little bit about me: i started releasing hip-hop music in 2011 when i was 18, on my tumblr blog. it was a fun hobby and mostly a joke with my friends, but when my first music video went a little bit ~viral~ on some music blogs, i decided to move to nyc and try to make a career out of it.
for a while, everything was pretty chaotic. i released a couple of mixtapes, wrote for some blogs, did some features, went on some tours, moved to LA, got married (to my wonderful husband and musical partner sam ray) and moved to baltimore. while working on my first full length album Miami Garden Club, i realized things still didn't feel right.

i decided to focus on teaching myself as much as i could about music theory and music production, and ended up getting the opportunity to score my first videogame; Beasts of Balance: Battles. this lead me to a few more videogame jobs, and now i'm hoping to start working in games full time. (:
this is how me and sam's band The Pom-Poms and my new album ROSE GOLD came to be; after deciding i might be done releasing music of my own, i kept on making things for fun and practice. these little side projects ended up inspiring me to forget about the "team" of people that had been helping me release stuff in the past. now, i do it all myself: writing, recording, producing, mixing, art design, manufacturing, distribution, "press" (lol)...it's just me and sam!

when i first set up this patreon, i wasn't sure what i wanted to do with it. now that so many of my loose ends are tied up, i've got some new plans and i'm super excited about them. i really love using this patreon to share what i'm working on, so subscribers get access to a private soundcloud page where i continuously add random things in various stages of "done".

i love interacting with people who enjoy the stuff i make, so i have a text line where you can chat with me whenever about stuff as well as a discord channel where patreon subscribers can chill and we can all hang out.

like i said, i pretty much taught myself everything i know about production with the help of various youtube tutorials. i feel like there's a lot of gatekeeping in production, and someone needs to make it easier for people to get started. after i made this guide for my dad on how to use ableton, i realized i could totally do more stuff like that and help people learn about music production from step 1. hopefully, with the help of this patreon, i'll be able to make more guides and youtube videos on the subject!

i've also always wanted to plan and throw livestreamed music events that take place entirely online; artists in their homes, performing for you. it took a bit to figure out the logistics, but now that i've got it (mostly) sorted i'm gonna be putting those on every 3 months

i'm still coming up with new plans and ideas for this page, but for the moment i'm just happy you're here. love uuuu

i have many, many stories. i like to share them, but lately have found that twitter, facebook and tumblr are no longer the right place for my endless rambling. i feel like the most arbitary parts of life are also the most interesting, but the feeling of shouting mundane bullshit into a void of bored, judgemental people has sort of ruined storytelling for me.

so i'll post them here instead (:

i'll also be streaming games/music stuff every two weeks (and more often, when i can!), posting new videos/art/music and updates + details on what i'm working on.

plus, you can join my discord. so we can chat. (:

awhile back, i read about an app that allows people to pay to text with their favorite writers. the concept really interests me- i love to make friends, and i love talking to people. it makes me really happy to offer my support, love and advice to people when they need it, and the proudest moments of my life have all been times i was able to help someone through something rough. it feels weird to put a price on my time (let alone my friendship?) but the nature of the internet has made it difficult to allow people to hit me up whenever.

however- again- here's a way.

this $$$ amount will certainly change- i'm feeling it out, and like i said, impossible to price. i'm sure it goes without saying that i'll likely need to moderate the hell out of this. but as long as i don't feel like you're trolling me, you can hit me up whenever you want and i'll be around to help. i'm not a therapist (clearly) but i'm a really good friend, and i'm great with advice. so if you need somebody to talk to- about whatever- i'm around!

when i reach 100 patrons, i'll set a date for my next streamed event ^_^
