Like a dial tone, static on an old television, a chaos of all things. A pregnant pause in trying to get back to normalcy. A white noise of our time. It is our choice to make chaos work for us. The world is a finite place.

Orientation is of no matter. The pieces are like water. The vessel is what contains the chaos. Looks like a maze but, you can always find a way out. The imperfections in the straight lines is what creates the flow of the piece. There is always a battle of what is relative in what is straight or has a divergence.

I like working fast. Creating pathways in real time to ensure there is room for everything to fit. The vessel is finite but the things continue to fill. The bottom knows nothing of the top and vice versa. Knowing when to stop can be a hard thing to gauge.

What is finished? What is full? What is not enough? We know, hopefully, what is enough. We usually don’t know where to start. If we devote too much time in deciding where to start; we have lost the spirit it should take to just begin. Do we end up being happy that we started at true center or the very top?

My work, I believe, is a product of going in head first on something. There are no mistakes. Every divergence of a line is an opportunity to put a little bend in what are considered rules. If all the lines were true and straight they would lack soul. Perfect is boring. An imperfection has a story. We want to hear that story because we want someone to hear our story, how we got that way, and where we're going with our tale that we wear.
