About Elizabeth Avery

About Me
I've been writing creatively since high school and in the fantasy world of Alvis for almost as long. I've fallen in love with the world I've created and the character's that inhabit it but it's only recently that I've stated looking at exploring this world through novel length stories.

Where I'm currently at, writing wise.
My first book: The Island of Wolves is available for purchase as a Kindle ebook.

The paperback version of my first book is available now, so if you prefer holding a physical book in your hand this is for you!

I've started the sequel to The Island of Wolves, but right now I'm focused on a rewrite of my first novella, The Descarrian Abyss. It's a dungeon crawl story, set in the same world as Wolves, with an ensemble cast inspired by tabletop rpgs. A lot has changed between versions, mostly because I've grown a lot as a writer in the last couple of years, but I think my original concept holds strong and deserves a second go. Because I'm rewriting rather than starting from scratch it's coming along much faster than Wolves did. I'll be posting some early drafts up on the Patreon soon for you to have a look at.

Why Patreon?
Mostly because it's the done thing. I don't expect money from this venture, or my writing at all for that matter, this is mostly a hobby at this point. But I've heard the same thing again and again from other creators across the Internet. If you're doing something artistic, whatever that might be, a Patreon is better started sooner rather than later. At the very least I hope I will be able to use it as a way to communicate with readers.

What would I get from becoming a Patreon?
Other than my everlasting gratitude? I have a few simple tiers to start off with, just to test the waters but I hope to offer more later once I've produced more and have gotten a gauge on what my readers are interested in.

Outside of tiers I hope to provide some Patreon content for everyone who contributes. Such as early access to first drafts, behind the scenes lore building, deleted/extended scenes and extra shorts to flesh out the back stories of minor characters.
