About Allosaurus Games

Hello there, my name is Dan, and welcome to the patreon page for March of the Monsters, a giant monster themed card game where players take on the role of giant monsters rampaging through a city. I am the creator of MOTM, and have taken it as far as I can on my own.

WHAT IS MARCH OF THE MONSTERS?
March of the Monsters is a hybrid board/card game, where the game is played on a board made OF cards using more cards to dictate which actions are performed and who does what. There are elements of resource management, elements of objective chasing, but above all it lets players be a giant monster beating up their giant monster friends.

WHY DID YOU MAKE MARCH OF THE MONSTERS?
March of the Monsters was originally conceived because I often find myself being very unsatisfied with giant monster games, be they board games or video games. Very few of them managed to capture the feeling of being a destructive beast, and even fewer of them were able to hold my attention for extended periods of time.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE YOU TO FINISH MOTM?
That's the best part, actually, the game's almost done! At this point, game design has reached completion, and I'm really just trying to earn some working capital so I can afford to give the game some polish before, ultimately, taking the game to kickstarter.
(I'd really love to stick to one platform, but it just isn't realistic for me to fund the game entirely through patreon)
In the meantime, there is still work that can be done. I need to be finalizing card layouts, text, frames and backs. I've been in talk with my awesome artist, and I would like to have some sort of key art before taking the game to Kickstarter, that way I at least have something pretty to show everyone.

WHAT WILL THIS PATREON PAY FOR
As stated above, this patreon is mostly going to be used to generate some working capital so that I'm able to pay for and produce proper assets for MOTM, and at least make it somewhat presentable before taking it to kickstarter. If Patreon proves to work well enough, it could be a suitable alternative to kickstarter entirely.
Goals
$5 of $500 per month
If I earn 500 dollars a month, I'll be able to raise enough working capital that I'll be able to pay for work on the art assets and polish
