Hello my dear fam, I am Martin Lucy.
a.k.a. DJ LŌMO. 23. From Hong Kong.
Who am I? I am a HongKong-based musician, producer, audio engineer, pianist, flutist, beatboxer, and a cappella bass singer.

Little bit more information about myself...
In 2016, I just finished my Music Bachelor Degree in HKU and I decided to pursue my career as a professional music producer and audio engineer. I am so thankful that I got into Berklee College of Music (Valencia Campus) last year to study my Masters Program in Music Production, Technoloy, and Innovation.

This is how my story begins...
for the past year, I have been digging into a lot of recording techniques (Pro Tools), DJ skills (CDJs), Electronic Dance Music productions (Ableton), and I found myself belong to this Electronic Music world. As many of you may know, I came from a Classical (music) background and I am a long-term fan of being a Beatboxer and music producer. Last year, I spent the whole year working on my thesis about putting Vocal Production (a cappella) with Electronic Music.

*****Here's the important part*****

Very very recently, I am more than happy to announce that I was chosen as one of the 6 finalists representing Hong Kong to participate in Netherland International Writers Camp (30/10-3/11) in the next coming month. The Writers Camp is partly subsidized by a private music school called Baron School of Music, but the bad news is I still need approximately HKD$20,000 (*USD$2500) to make this happen. The amount of money that I need to pay is insanely huge to me, though I really want to make this opportunity happen and share this experience with you all.

*note that Patreon payment is in US dollars.

So, you would ask...why supporting Martin Lucy...?

"...I don't even know him that well."

Let me tell you more about my thoughts. I am deeply touched by my heavenly mom when I was 17. Her last words, "do what you really wanted to do or else it's too late," really inspired me ever since then, that is why I am pursuing Music as my career today. I guess many of us during high school period is still kind of frustrating of what you wanted to do in your life, hence you then followed the norm or your family's directions. I was lucky enough I figured out what I really wanted to do in the early time, and I keep fighting for it for the past 10 years. Sometimes it's lonely to walk on a Music Path by yourself, and there are moments that you just wanted to give up because of 1) the society, 2) money, 3) your family. "Doing Music" is not easier than working in other industries, especially it requires a lot of creativity, production skills, and connections. Not to mention about your confidence, your vision, and your passion.

I do not know how my career path is going to be in the future to be very honest, it could be very exciting, but it could be tough as I DONT EVEN WANT TO think of. I just want to take this opportunity to ask you all for one thing... to donate (as much as you want of course but it could be just USD$1) to show your support to me, my music, and more importantly, to the Electronic music scene in Hong Kong.
