I create a short podcast about papal history, for those who love history but aren't as fond of history books. I also write essays from time to time. I'd like to provide both The Popecast and said essays to my dear listeners/readers for free, forever. And I'd like to produce a lot of them.

But alas, it's hard to justify spending the time producing content when it doesn't help to pay the bills (or buy the whiskey). Apparently small children like to eat several times a day, and the firstborn is on the way.

So, I'm asking for your assistance – join a small community of readers & listeners who either praise my work blindly or yell "heresy" suddenly and startlingly, and who (regardless) patronize it for a buck or two every time I write a post or release an episode. Don't worry, you can set a monthly cap, I'll likely average around 3-4 posts per month (total), and if I don't post, you don't get charged!

In return I pledge my eternal thanks, audiobooks of old papal writings and other exclusive content, the occasional live video chat with yours truly, and access to the patron-only feed.
Tiers
Peter
$1 or more per episode / essay

Named for Pope #1. The guy who saw Jesus raise the dead, then didn't believe him when he said he'd deny Jesus 3 times. A holy dunce.

Linus

Named for Pope #2, the guy with the blankie.

Receive: a personal message of thanks, access to our patron-only feed, and submit a pope-related question to be answered at the end of a future Popecast.

Fabian
$20 or more per episode / essay
Named for the guy who was made pope after a dove landed on his head at the election party (yes, seriously - see Popecast Ep. 4).

Goals
5 of 50 patrons
At 50 patrons, I'll host a live Q&A and post as a special Popecast to make all the non-patrons jealous.
