The Mediaeval Mediterranean podcast is a monthly podcast about the history of the mediaeval Mediteranean Sea - from about 1000CE to 1500CE.

Once, there was something called "the Mediterranean World", where the regions close to that sea were all connected to each other more closely than to areas inland. Over the course of several centuries, that broke down and the Mediteranean is now divided between the Christian, European North and the Muslim, African/Asian South and East. The podcast is an account of how that happened, and what the last centuries of the Mediterranean World were like.
