About Michael Cho

About Me.
My name is Michael Cho and I have been painting table-top miniatures since 2000. I have participated in many painting competitions since and have won a handful of local competitions as well as a couple Golden Demon painting competitions. But before all of that I started off just like every gamer and painter...trying to learn how to improve my painting and gaming skills. I sat around all the painters that I could find that were amazing kept asking questions on how to achieve certain techniques. I would practice, practice, practice and then go ask more questions. Even to this day I find myself a student of the art of painting and its techniques. Although I have gained a lot of knowledge and skill, I have still more to learn. And that is my passion I would like to share with others and I would like to assume that all painters want to achieve a greater skill level of their paintings.

I am also the founder of BLU (Brush Lickers United). The creation of BLU began with streaming live on Twitch. People began to ask me if there was another place to go and be a part of a community to learn. Once I got partnered on Twitch and able to create a stream team, I created the group and invited other streamers. This way we had a team to connect with the community and to share the hobby we love so much. With the creation of the group, I hope that all hobbyist (gamers and painters) can come together and enjoy each others work and opinions. It's a way for us to seek advice and learn to grow, but also to encourage and share our experience to other enthusiasts.

Why Patreon?
I decided that in order to help others and to show what I have learned over the years, I need support first. That support will help me get the materials that I need to create better content. Supplies such as paint, brushes, even proper lighting is essential for a proper workstation. I would like to create How To video tutorials on YouTube as well as Patron only videos to share my experience with others. Over time, I will need better equipment in order to record or show what I am actually doing, and even software to edit all the recordings. But most importantly, to provide for my family. And to show that my time away from them, while producing these video contents and live streaming is something productive. Time is precious and if I can at least show something for my time, it would put me and my family more at ease.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my page.  I appreciate the support and pledges that you all have made. For those that can not pledge support, I still appreciate all of you. You can still help by spreading the word about what I do, and that in itself is support.
