M. Simone Boyd

is creating a loving, thriving neighborhood

per month

Howdy from Nashville! I’m a novelist and neighborhood organizer. I wrote, The Day Sonny Died, it’s about the wound left when a father is absent.

Then I moved to a challenged neighborhood, where I witnessed the issues I was writing about—violence, poverty and incarceration—play out on my street. 90 percent of the work my family and I do is unpaid, because we love our neighborhood and we are on a mission to create a loving, thriving community.

By becoming a patron, you can join us our journey to heal our ‘hood.
