If you're reading this you've probably already seen the first episode, but for those of you who don't know why you clicked the link to this page, I'll bring you up to speed.  To make a long story less long: my name is Ben Farrell, and my life wasn't going that great for a while, so I decided to make a video series about it.

Have you ever heard the phrase, "I am my own worst critic"?  No?  Well, you have now (and please crawl out from under your rock).  I use that idea as a creative tool in my videos, wherein I literally talk to an alternate, hyper-critical version of myself who is merely being so as a means of improving my life.  Each 10-15 minute episode examines one aspect of my life that needs improving, be it about career, physical/mental health, relationships, etc.

Here's where you, attractive reader, come in.  If you weren't impatient and have already watched at least one episode, you'll see that these videos take a lot of time and effort to create.  About a month (and usually more) of shooting, editing, rotoscoping, color grading, etc goes into just one episode, and I'm the only one doing it all.  If I'm to continue doing this video series as a full time operation/job, I need a way to support myself, i.e. not die.  So, if it isn't too much trouble, please give me money so I don't die. Of course, the money won't just go towards keeping me alive; it'll also go towards upgrading cameras/equipment, editing software, computer hardware, etc, but you wouldn't want some guy you just met online to die and it be your fault, would you?... I'm only half joking here...

OK, in all seriousness, I really do think it's worth your money to pledge to this video series' production, not only for my benefit, but for the audience at large as well.  Even though the series is about my own personal problems, the subjects I touch on are relatable enough that someone going through a similar situation to my own could find guidance or consolation in these videos. And if that happens to apply to you, then I hope you do too.

To those of you who pledge, thank you dearly, and all of you enjoy "My Worst Critic."
