→ My goal is to create a platform for awareness, visibility, and guidance for topics like chronic illness, mental illness, disability, trauma, and suicide. I also do Let's Plays, J-Pop translations, beauty vlogs, and more!

My chronic illness story - an introduction and mission statement

I live with fibromyalgia, narcolepsy, ulcerative colitis and other conditions that come along with them. I'm currently in recovery from living 20+ years with undiagnosed atlas subluxation complex and the resulting osteoarthritis (degenerative disc disease). Even with these challenges, I work as much as I can at multiple jobs (currently at 3, working on getting up to 4!) and my free time is used to work on content. Most of my paychecks go into caring for myself but I try to keep my schedule open for work. If I can't work enough, I can't afford my treatments or medications, and most of it isn't covered by insurance so it's out of pocket. If I can't take care of myself, I struggle at work, and I can't work on videos or resources either because my free time then needs to be devoted to recovery. It's kind of a vicious cycle but I strive to stick to a schedule that allows me to use my day off energy to creating content while still saving time for resting.

Your donations and patronage allow me to afford what I need to care for my body while still being able to follow my passions. Thank you so much for supporting my dreams.

Massage therapy and craniosacral therapy are lifesavers but also the most expensive and probably most important of my treatments. I need them to help heal my connective tissue and muscles, which are all jacked up from living with a messed up spine and so much inflammation since I was a kid.

To be honest, I haven't had a massage in several months. It just hasn't been in my budget. I've been doing as best as I can with self massage and trigger point rollers in the mean time.

I've set my massage/craniosacral goal to $100. Massages are generally around $80, and craniosacral work is $100. I have to decide which one my body needs more, since it's too expensive to do both right now.
