Jason Thompson grew up working on farms, shoveling snow, wrenching on cars and snowmobiles, helping customers in various hardware departments, moving furniture, umpiring baseball games and creating a golf course in Southern Minnesota. He transferred to academics and completed his BA in Law & Society at Winona State University and the International University of Ulaanbaatar where he studied U.S.-Mongolian Foreign Relations 1860-1920.

Jason continued his language, history and teaching studies at Soonchunhyang University in the ROK and DPRK, ABC School in Dhaka, Bangladesh and Nepal, Macalester College in St. Paul, and Academy Prep in St. Petersberg, Florida. He then shifted gears back to Hennepin Technical College taking courses in diesel and hybrid technology.
From 2008-2012 Jason was a photojournalist for Truck Trend magazine and published more than 350 articles, conducted social media, and organized events.

In 2015 Jason completed a MA in journalism and media studies at UNLV and The Harry Reid Center for Environmental studies as a student assistant for Dr. Oliver Hemmers its director. He studied climate control, enhanced weathering and helped install the most powerful linear particle accelerator at any university in the United States.

Recently he attended a Positive Leadership course at the University for Peace in Costa Rica and wrote an article about it in The Costa Rica News.

Jason currently wants to turn the Las Vegas valley into a date, lemon, pomegranate, fig and urban farming paradise of pleasure. He installs gardens in backyards, church yards, corporate yards, prison yards, and public spaces.
