My work has evolved over the last twenty years, starting at age fifteen. From 1994–1999 I worked in black and white photography focusing on subjects of abstraction in nature, and melancholic images people within the landscape that expressed a sense of mystery and isolation. In 2003, I studied in Rome and became enthralled by the art and architecture of the Renaissance. After studying in Rome, my work changed again during my apprenticeship under the artist Osvaldo Romberg in 2005. In 2012, I married my wife Elizabeth Anne Riedel, whose presence in my life changed my work once again. Soon after, Elizabeth gave birth to our first son Griffin, and nineteen months later to Elliot. Since then, my wife and kids have been my primary source of inspiration, and I often paint them as an allegory of the Holy Family.

I plan to use my patron's support to forward my career as an artist in a number of ways. Your patronage would allow me to buy art supplies—when I have been without money, cardboard or the back of a Trader Joe's bag works great, but better supplies means better quality work. Your patronage would allow me more opportunities to enter exhibitions in terms of entrance fees, and to pay for the cost of shipping work to exhibitions (and to possibly attend them). Long term goals may be to save for a studio space. At the moment, my studio for painting large canvases is our garage (which is unusable in the summer heat, and cold in the winter), and for smaller work, there is a spare room in our house that I use. It is a dream of ours to have a bigger home, where I might be able to set up a more proper studio space.

I thank you so very much for all of your support!
