About DethRaid

We're creating the Nova Renderer, and we're going to make your favorite games beautiful.

I have a dream. A dream that one day, we can look at Minecraft or Fallout: New Vegas and marvel once again at how beautiful they are. A dream that anyone will be able to customize the shading of classic games, letting newcomers more easily overcome dated graphics. A dream that we can squeeze more pixels out your graphics card than anyone else.

Let's make that dream a reality

Currently being developed for Minecraft, the Nova Renderer is a complete renderer replacement. Written in C++ and Vulkan, the Nova Renderer will bring modern, high-performance graphics to Minecraft. Nova isn't an optimizer like Optifine, though. Nova brings a highly customizable, data-driver shading pipeline along with it. Based off of the Minecraft Shadersmod, Nova for Minecraft will allow users to create a collection of OpenGL, SPIR-V, or HLSL shaders along with a description of what blocks and entities they render, then will render Minecraft with those shaders.

You can see much of what is possible with the current Minecraft shaders mod. Look at Continuum, our affiliated shader, or any of the other amazing shader packs. Nova aims to provide a better shader development environment than the shaders mod, exposing more features and allowing shader developers to create even more amazing things.

Our plans don't stop at Minecraft. We plan to bring Nova to other games, like Fallout: New Vegas, The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, Fallout 3, Battlefront 2 2005, and Grand Theft Auto IV. One rendering platform with a wide variety of high-quality shaderpacks available for tons of awesome games. Donate now, and help make this dream a reality
$0 of $250 per month
At $250 a month, compatibility with Optifine will become a priority. We'll focus on ensuring that Nova and Optifine work nicely together and that Nova can take advantage of all of Optifine's features
