JANUARY 2020 IMPORTANT NOTE: The campaign is currently PAUSED while I work on other projects. Pachakutiq will resume as soon as I'm able to commit a reasonable amount of time per month again!
I'm Camille, an independant game developer. I previously made Honey Rose: Underdog Fighter Extraordinaire, and by contributing to this campaign, you're directly helping me develop the game I'm currently working on, Pachakutiq (formerly Pachacuti). The funds levied in this campaign are intended to allow me to pay for my living expenses while working part-time on the game when possible, as I also work for parallel projects when the need arises (see below).
Pachakutiq is a modular 2D action-platformer with a traditional hand-drawn animation aesthetic. Development started in October 2016 and will likely take several years.

If you'd like to participate in this project, first of all, thanks a lot!
Here's how you can participate:
-you can pledge any amount you like (even 1$ a month is great - if everyone reading this page did that, I would go over my monthly required minimum and then some). Higher pledges will help a lot more, though aren't tied to rewards, so feel free to support according to your means and wants!
-you can also cancel your pledge at any time! If you only wish to support for a limited time, or encounter financial trouble down the line, you can safely withdraw your pledge with no consequence.
-if you only wish to pledge once, you can consider contributing through Paypal.me instead.
-if you're unwilling or unable to directly pledge to this campaign, you can also help by sharing it, or the information I post about the game on Twitter so it reaches the most people it can. My outreach is only limited by your willingness to share with your own friends, so if you want to help the project, tell others about it!
Patreon allows me to directly fund my efforts through your contributions, limiting in turn the amount of taxes and cuts I have to pay. If you're willing to help me work, this is the single best way you can contribute to it.
My pledge to you is to keep you updated and appraised of all that happens during development, and to keep working to the limit of my abilities, as I hope what I have already shared will show. When you support this campaign, you will:
-gain access to all patreon-only updates already posted
-receive regular updates about the game's development
-access my internal test prototypes, and be given the opportunity to participate in testing rounds to gather feedback and discuss design points
During this campaign, I may be called to work on parallel projects as work for hire for additional income (until this campaign becomes self reliant?). You'll be informed of these as they happen.

-...and other unnanounced projects!
UPDATE DECEMBER 2019: I've updated the campaign page to reflect that I'm now unable to commit to full time development, since the amount of commissions has increased. I'm now working on Pacha whenever I can, and will pause the campaign as necessary if I'm unable to make any progress during a given month.

The game is a single-player, narrative-driven life management presented as a visual novel with beat'em up segments. In other words: there's reading, and there's fighting, and there's lots of masked costumes!
