Who We Are:
The Per Service Podcast was created by four friends: Michael O'Gieblyn, Jessica Wiersma, Anna Luce, and Christian Marshall. We're classical musicians who used to meet on Skype to help each other prepare for orchestra auditions by playing excerpts and getting feedback.

After playing some Mozart or Strauss, we would talk for a while and realized there are so many important aspects to being a successful musician other than just "you were out of tune here," or "you were rushing there."

Our conversations revealed that there is a need for deeper conversations about what life in the performing arts is really like, how we have dealt with being classical musicians in society, and how we can encourage each other to improve.

And so, we started recording these conversations and created the Per Service Podcast. We're sort of like "The View" for classical music...but without the sleepy classical radio station voice.

Why We Need Your Help:
Creating these podcasts takes a lot of time and energy. The four of us are already busy playing concerts, teaching students, and creating resources for OrchestraExcerpts.com

With your support we can continue to make the show AWESOME and even better than ever!

We've found an audience of like-minded musicians and artists that have discovered that music schools and conservatories don't adequately prepare you for the real-world.  But lets' get real here, we're basically starving artists helping other starving artists here-we can't do this on our own!

Your support means we can purchase better equipment, pay for website hosting, bring on someone part-time to mix and edit the podcast. And ultimately reach more musicians with our entertaining and inspiring message.

How it Works:
Becoming our patron means that you’re pledging the monthly dollar amount of your choice to support our show. In return, Patreon contributors will receive exclusive access to:
  • Behind the scenes content (what goes on when we're not on our best behavior)
  • Bonus content (all the good stuff that doesn't make it into the final product due to time constraints)
  • PLUS we'll publicly thank you in person on air for your support.
It's basically a monthly subscription with all sorts of cool perks. Most importantly, you can adjust your pledge anytime you like!

Just like Haydn needed Prince Esterházy and libraries needed Andrew Carnegie, WE need YOU to be our Patron so we can keep creating great, free, inspiring shows.
