About Video the Docs
Many open source projects have documentation with no supporting videos tutorials. Video the Docs (VtD) was established to create video tutorials based on existing documentation.
We hope to contribute to better quality documentation by reporting inconsistencies that we uncover in documentation that we work through.
If you're not convinced of the need for VtD, take a quick tour of the featured projects at Read the Docs. You'll find few or no videos in any of the documentation. We consider this a gap and aim to fix it by selecting a body of documentation and creating supporting videos.
Starting with the projects that we are most intimately involved with, we will create supporting video tutorials inspired by existing documentation.
Early videos shall narrowly focus on the Plone CMS with the goal of broadening to Python, other web technologies and *nix. We'll see what happens after that.
