No, I don't like Star Wars
One of those things that always sticks in my craw is the result when I mention around people I don't know that I don't like Star Wars. Because someone always doesn't believe me. There's a little twitch in the eye, a stare, an odd expression. "Really?" they ask. "Not even such-and-such?
Really, I don't like Star Wars
If you can't figure out why I was able to keep playing The Old Republic despite that fact, well, I address exactly that point. Seriously, I didn't miss it. You might think that this would be better timed to come out a couple days ago, but seeing as weekend posts are still a stretch goal, I declined. Not to mention the simple fact that I don't really enjoy kicking things that people love, especially not on days that they've set aside just for celebrating that love. You enjoy what you enjoy, and that's fine, but I still felt the need to write this up, especially as I feel I've kind of hit on a core issue somewhere. I'm very pleased with this one, since I think it manages to be fair and only mildly harsh while at the same time avoiding the temptation to sink into pure pointless cruelty. It's not scathing, it's not hateful, it's not nasty. But it is what it is. I hope you enjoy it!
