About The Programming Panda

Who is this guy?!
I'm a young, self-taught software engineer, trying to make it in the world. I work full time and have been for a number of years, and I want to share my journey with everyone trying to make in it the industry.

What do I do?
I write code (recently in Ruby, less recently in Scala), design software architecture, and try to stay at pace with what's happening in the software industry.

What will you be getting through support on Patreon?
I want to share my journey with everyone trying to get into, or make it, in the software world. Programmers, designers, architects, leaders alike. I will be interacting with my supporters for setting topics on blogs/investigations each week, and perhaps set up some projects that we can all collaborate on together. All content published on Patreon will also be published on my personal blog, but my Patreon subscribers will always get first pick at what topics I cover, as well as join in on events/collaborations I will be running from time to time.

What will I be doing with the funds from my supporters?
There are not many opportunities to excel as a software engineer. I will be using the funds from my supporters to build a better future for me and others on a similar path. I have a dream of one day opening a company to help other self-taught developers out there get into the industry. Most of us don't get a second look or even a callback by hiring companies, and I want to change that so we can all world towards a tech-forward world.
