Current State of the World

Health issues are running rampant in this world, and it doesn’t need to be that way. From sleep disorders to migraines, there seem to be an unlimited number of ailments that continue to strike our loved ones and us. The data is clear: we need to make bold moves in order to address these problems, not just as individual problems but also as symptoms of something bigger.

What Is Raga?

More and more, people are starting to accept meditation as a technique for managing stress and working through negative emotions. There is a lesser-known technique, though, that could lead to an even greater spiritual awakening worldwide. It’s all based on the science of Raga, an ancient form of Indian music that has been used to cure health issues and solve problems.

The way Raga works are fairly straightforward. A sequence of selected notes (swaras) effects an appropriate mood or emotion in a selective combination, intensifying joy or sorrow and fostering peace or violence. This range of emotions, captured within certain rhythms and melodies, can act in the same way that a medicine would, affecting certain ailments in a very real way. Some Ragas are effective at defusing mental tension, hysterics, and rages.

Raga Chikitsa means “healing through the use of ragas.” Raga Chikitsa is defined as “the knowledge of how to use raga for the purposes of healing. A fundamental feature of Raga Chikitsa is the classification of the ragas based on their elemental composition(ether, air, fire, water, earth) and the proper use of the elements to balance the nature of the imbalance.

According to an ancient Indian text, Swara Sastra, the seventy-two melakarta ragas (parent ragas ) control the 72 important nerves in the body. It is believed that if one sings with due devotion, adhering to the raga norms and with pitch purity, the raga could affect the particular nerve in the body in a favourable manner.

An art that has been dying in the modern age, Raga has proven its usefulness both through history and through its association with the scientifically-proven phenomenon of binaural beats, which impact our brainwaves positively. We are working to recreate Raga using ancient methods and producing a maximum of two musical therapy programs in order to support medicine-free and chemical-free health and restoration. Having experienced sleeping disorders, mental illnesses, stress, and insomnia ourselves, we know how useful something like Raga can be.

Of roughly 50,000 thoughts per day, around 70% are believed to believe in the majority of people. Raga can change that and in turn, change the world.

Cognition impacts emotion: that is the underlying principle of cognitive behaviour therapy. Thus, by affecting the thoughts you have with the music that you listen to, you can impact your emotion either positively or negatively

According to a study conducted by the National Institute of Health, music has been shown to have a positive impact on health, music seems to have a more-than-cathartic effect, much has been found to alleviate depression, and music can enhance communication and expressive skills. One study on Raga in particular even showed that this specific type of music reduced scores on depression and anxiety. While music has a whole may positively impact our health, the figures are clear: Raga impacts our health and a special and out-sized way.

History of Raga

Looking back into history, we can find a wealth of tools and methods for exerting greater control over our mental and emotional well-being. We can reclaim our lives and demand more. This is possible, yes, but only if we work at it.

The great composers of India were contemporaries of the great composers of Western Classical Music, Bach, Beethoven, and Mozart. Saint Thyagaraja is said to have revived a dead person with his Bilahari composition, Naa Jiva Dhaara; Mutshuswamy Dikshitar’s Navagriha Kriti cured a stomach illness, and Shyama Sastry’s Duru Sugu caused good health in the masses. This is not anecdotal: it’s historical. This campaign represents our attempt to reclaim and that history for all.

The history of Raga stretches far back into the past, its origins found in the Vedas that were written between 4000 BC and 1000 BC.

How It Works

We are producing delta waves with Raga in order to help with sleep disorders, mixing theta waves with Raga to awaken hidden chakras in the body and fix health issues, and using alpha waves with Raga to alleviate anxiety and stress.

A binaural beat is an auditory phenomenon perceived when two different pure-tone sine waves, both with frequencies lower than 1500 Hz and with less than a 40 Hz difference between them, are presented to opposite ears. This dichotomy can lead to incredible results both in the short term and in the long term.
