Hey Ya'll welcome to River House Farm.  My name is Melissa and I'm a one-woman powered farm in East Tennessee.  I trained as a Chef at the Natural Gourmet Institute in NYC and have done everything from Managing several NYC Farmer's Markets to working as a field crew member on a 100 acre farm to running a commercial cannery, to landing in East Tennessee and tending to about an acre of crops on a 60 acre farm alongside the Nolichuckey River.  I've been sharing my passion for growing, eating, canning and cooking produce for many years @riverhousefarmtn on Instagram.  So many folks have asked me for tips and recipes along the way and I never had the right platform to lay it all out on.  Blogging didn't really feel right because I ultimately don't want to become an advertisement just to try and make a few bucks off of developing my recipes so they can be enjoyed by others.  

I'm glad to have landed here on Patreon.  I hope to inspire more folks to shop small and local and eat IN!
