FAQ
  1. You are creating nothing? We publish scholarly ebooks that are free to download and share. The creative source of such books are the authors. We edit their work and publish it under a creative commons license - but we do not create anything.
  2. Surely editing and coding are creation? No, that is work. We do not request Patreon donations for the artistic side of our work, only the drudge work and the expenses.
  3. So creating is art but making is business? The real point is that we place art beyond the economic realm but not the production costs of an ebook, and we request financial aid in the latter.
  4. What is Rounded Globe editorial policy? A contribution must be over 10,000 words, face reality honesty, use clear prose, and eschew disciplinary blinkers
  5. What do you owe your authors? (a) Before agreement to proceed: a good initial understanding of the idea of publishing their work as an ebook under a creative commons licence; (b) During the production process: careful editing and a seamless transformation to an ebook; (c) After publication: nothing.
  6. In your experience, what do authors not understand about publishing with Rounded Globe? That we are a production unit and are not concerned with distribution.
  7. Can you withdraw an ebook from circulation once it has been published? This we cannot do.
  8. Who holds the copyright of the ebooks? The authors.
