About RZZT

RZZT (pronounced “resist”) is a cypherpunk collective that funds the development of free and open-source software (FOSS) that respects human rights and civil liberties. RZZT is particularly focused on projects that fulfil economic rights, and protect privacy and freedom of expression.

We help FOSS projects succeed by funding their development costs. The success or failure of many useful, innovative and interesting projects depends on adequate funding. By pooling small donations we intend to enter into large-scale contracts with developers to bring great ideas into reality.

In addition, RZZT will provide educational materials about FOSS and give out awards recognising the excellence of individuals and groups in promoting FOSS and free culture.

RZZT is a transparent community interest company incorporated in the United Kingdom. By keeping our administrative costs to a minimum, we ensure that as much income as possible is directed toward developing free and open-source software — we don't waste time or money.
