The mission of a lifetime.

We are a husband and wife filmmaking team leaving our land based lives for the adventure of a lifetime. We have produced several feature length documentary films for television, all with themes around wildlife, wilderness and conservation. Now we want to do more to help. We have no sailing experience to speak of but with months of planning and more to come we will be ready as soon as April 2019! We will be living full-time aboard our sailboat named "For Good".

Beginning off the coast of British Columbia, Canada we will sail to the Great Bear Rainforest and bring you amazing stories and jaw dropping images. Yes, there are many threats to the environment and we will see first hand how they affect people, wildlife and us. We will also discover what people are doing to change things. We need to find the heroes in this story. For our part, we both have a sense of humour and don't take ourselves to seriously ... we promise to make you smile. We will of course, by necessity need to live as sustainably and economically as possible. Washing laundry in a bucket, showering with a gallon of water and living with much, much less than we now have. Not that we have much!

In our new life the wind will move us along the coastline and the sun will provide power for our lights and navigation equipment. In our travels we will film the incredible abundance of wildlife in this spectacular region. Humpback Whales will breach within feet our tiny new home, Grizzly Bears will emerge from the ancient cedar rainforests in the morning fog, Sea Lions will greet us with their loud vocals from nearby rocky outposts. Sea Otters, Killer Whales, Dolphins, Wolves and Eagles are just a few more examples of the diverse species that inhabit this region. Along the way we will engage in citizen science projects, beach cleanups, wildlife rescue and help in any way we can. Please know, our goal is to entertain, inspire and communicate the idea that together we can make a difference. We will even share your stories of environmental stewardship and you could be our Patron of the month! Stay tuned for details.

In time we will sail to the south along the US coast, Mexico, through the Panama Canal, the Caribbean and eventually a global circumnavigation. You will have a front row seat to an incredible adventure with a purpose. We will explore coastal cultures, ecosystems and wildlife from around the world.
So please join our mission with a small monthly subscription (starts at just 4 dollars US) via Patreon and in return we will provide you input into our mission, short films, video clips, photos a blog and much more. Videos will be professionally shot and edited with broadcast quality 4K equipment. Our boat, "For Good" is film studio on the water with several cameras for above and below the water, a drone for great aerials, various microphones for great sound, and an edit suite with a 27 inch iMac. In just over one year we will deliver a feature length documentary for film festivals and broadcasters. You can even be in the credits!

We can promise you this, Patreon is legit. It is the new way filmmakers like us can share our stories with you and hopefully make a difference. Really, it's no different than subscribing to a mainstream TV channel only we are taking out the middle man. You are the producer! Your monthly payment will really make this all possible.
Thanks for reading, see you on the big blue.
