Geia sas! My name is Steven Tagle, and I'm a writer and photographer from California, now based in Greece. After graduating from the UMass Amherst MFA program, I came to Greece on a 2016-2017 Fulbright fellowship in creative writing to retell Greek myths in conversation with the country's economic and refugee crises. I traveled to all the provinces of the country to visit mythology-related sites and interview locals and refugees. Along the way, I fell in love with Greece: with its warm, larger-than-life characters, its delicious Mediterranean food, and its striking and diverse landscapes. After I completed my fellowship, I decided to stay in Greece permanently to work on my book and continue exploring every inch of this beautiful country.

I've kept a daily log during my travels and am working on converting that information into organized travel guides to benefit people who are interested in visiting Greece. These guides contain practical information as well as recommendations on what to do, what to see, and what to eat. They combine recommendations from locals with recommendations from travel websites and guidebooks. I've experienced all of these locations first-hand, and oftentimes, I have friends at these places who can give you personalized service. Think of me as your advance team, and benefit from my experience. The library currently includes: Athens, Thessaloniki, and the Cyclades (Santorini, Mykonos, and Milos).

Your support will allow me to keep exploring the far reaches of Greece and getting to know it's people, landscapes, history, and culture. In return, I'll share the best of what I find with you.
