On the Daily Tech News Show, you hear in-depth, reasoned discussion of the day's most interesting tech stories from Tom Merritt and his knowledgeable guests. You get research, insight, and analysis.

The Monthly Tech Views is none of that.

It is shallow, reckless analysis aimed at generating a few laughs at the expense of accuracy. In the interest of equal time, perhaps, Tom has allowed this nonsense to appear at dailytechnewsshow.com/category/writing/weeklytechviews/ for the past two years.

To those of you who have been along for the ride so far: thanks for reading what many leading literary critics have dubbed "silly, unsubstantiated gibberish," and I apologize for any negative impact on your IQ.

But if you've gotten enough chuckles out of it to want a third year and beyond, you've come to the right place to make that happen. Not only will you be supporting the most blatantly misguided technology analysis available on today’s internet, but there are reward levels providing you the end-of-year book of collected columns, the ability throughout the year to demand coverage of your favorite story (or of a really boring earnings report, if it would be more fun to challenge me), and even choosing a word or phrase that I will have to use in the next Tech Views (parsley? panic room? Parasigmatism?*).

* The inability to pronounce the sound ‘s’, apparently. Who knew?

Real tech stories. Really shaky analysis.

The journey continues.
$0 of $75 per month
The Tech Views continues its nonsense on a monthly schedule. And when we hit $75, nominations and voting begin on specific stories to be covered and words to be used in each Tech Views.

Want to see how stupid I'll look trying to mine humor from an earnings report? How "abomasum" (the fourth stomach of a ruminant, such as a cow or sheep) can be elegantly woven into a tech blog?

Here's your chance.
