Our goal, here at the Stroller Workshop, in addition to making repair-guides, is to provide the public with impartial, informative reviews of new strollers – aimed primarily at analyzing their mechanical and functional attributes as they are likely to perform under real-world conditions. Since opening our workshop in 2011, we've had the opportunity to work both with manufacturers and retailers, as well as thousands of private consumers. And this unique middle position, between consumers and manufacturers, has allowed us an understanding of the causes behind a wide variety of mechanical and functional problems that manufacturers are (for the most part) unlikely to understand with their purely statistics-informed return policies.

In our experience, a lot of product-reviews these days seem, unfortunately, to be more about selling products via web-stores or affiliate-marketing, than about giving honest information. Our vision for this channel is larger than this, and for that reason, we have decided to avoid the potentially-corrupting trappings of both sales-engines and paid-promotion. Without sounding arrogant, our dream is to eventually get large enough to have an influence on the industry itself – to be in a position to use public pressure to effect changes that will be better for the consumer and the environment – such as promoting designs that emphasize durability and longevity, commending companies that make spare parts available to end-users, and providing a wider understanding between companies and consumers regarding the real-world conditions and stresses of actual use. Given current environmental concerns, this sort of a shift towards longevity and reusability is important, and not just in the world of strollers.

Thus, with this vision in mind, it seems clearly unethical to us, to engage in any of the more common sales-oriented income methods of other review-channels. But what this means though, is that, not only is our income limited to basic Youtube ads and donations, but as an independent and unbiased reviewer, we have never been given (and will never accept) free products from manufactuers. If you would like to help us out, there are a few things you can do: you can subscribe to our channel (which helps to grow our visible strength as a market-influencer), you can share our channel with other people who might benefit from the information we provide, and, if you would like to help financially, you can donate to our channel here on patreon. We would really appreciate any help you can give.
