Aztech Portable Compost Toilet
$1
per month
This is the toilet which I brought to India. I started building this toilet by going to scrapyards in Berlin and assembling in my friend Jan's  kitchen in a village called Schmachtenhagen Ost.

Summer was over and running out of cash and time, I took the metal pieces by bike and bus to Vienna where I worked further on it until it was in a bike trailer set up.

I managed to bike 80 km to Bratislava with this prototype still not ready to "test" but I learned valuable lessons.

I flew to India with it and I'm now finishing so I can then test it at local festivals, events.

Residential Compost Toilet Development
$5
per month
This toilet was designed with help from Ray of Red Usuarios Banos Secos Vivos in México City.

This toilet is made from plastic and is designed to be easy to build and mass manufacture.

With your help we will build a mold and start producing them.

You will get shop drawings and customer feedback surveys.

Portable Toilet Construction Drawings

About

My mission is to transition the world to sustainable sanitation.

I want everyone to know and have access to a compost toilet because this toilet, unlike the water-flushing toilet with which you may be familiar, is the only toilet that doesn't exclude billions of people from sanitation.

I've found out that the water flushing toilet is not sustainable and the whole world's population cannot have access and will never access to this technology. On the other hand, the compost toilet is easily accessible, non-polluting, requires no electricity and, most importantly, closes the nutrient cycle, that is, it returns the nutrients from the food we eat to the soil where it came from without polluting our precious waterways.

Since I've found out about the compost toilet I've talked to everyone I know about them and this toilet took me to work with compost toilet companies in Germany and England. Compost toilets give me such energy that last year, I swam 15 km from Spain to Morocco to raise money to build them in México . As you can see on my TEDx below, I am passionate about compost toilets and I would like to share this toilet journey with you as I design, build and share this toilet with the world.
