About Tom Goss

Hi, I'm Tom. But if you're here, you already know that! Today, I need your help.

I have dedicated my life to telling stories, both in person and digitally, through music and video. But, honestly, it's more than that: I sincerely want to change the world.

I tell stories that need to be told. I tell stories that other people are afraid to tell. I tell stories about people that are routinely overlooked. I do not hold back.

During the height of Don't Ask, Don't Tell, my team and I worked with SLDN to make Lover and Who We Are, highlighting (and featuring) real life military heroes, unjustly discharged simply for being who they are. We redefined beauty and acceptance with the anthemic Bears and sultry Round In All The Right Places. We teamed up with Trevor Project and PFLAG to create Son of a Preacher Man, giving LGBTQ youth hope that no matter what, the future gets brighter. We put LGBT seniors in the spotlight, honoring their beauty and commitment to all we believe in with More Than Temporary. We challenged people to see deeper than gender, sexuality and disability with Illuminate the Dark. And we've done so much more than that!

You see, I REALLY want to make a difference, so I tell stories about my community, experiences, struggles, and loves. So... what are my loves?

My husband.
My family.
My chosen family -- better known as YOU.

Everyday I am grateful for the love and support you show me.

Over the past 12 years, I have traveled hundreds of thousands of miles, performing, connecting, eating, crying, and laughing. We've met in living rooms, bars, theaters, and festivals. We've had serious conversations, fun conversations, and sometimes even life-changing ones. I've been at your weddings, celebrations of life, anniversaries -- sometimes in person, sometimes in song. These are truly the most impactful moments of my life. These moments are what I'm most proud of and the reason I do all of this.

You've watched me grow and change. You were there when I got married to Mike, and when I moved to Los Angeles. You trust me. You believe in me. I am eternally grateful.

But it's not easy. Creating, touring, and releasing content is a full-time job and riddled with financial instability. We live in a world where music and film are free and countless amounts are right at your fingertips.

When I started this journey, I made money from selling CDs. That was a significant portion of my income. Music sales often made the difference between a show (or a year) making a profit or losing money. So I did, and I do, a lot of shows! However, nowadays the world wants free or subscription-based content on YouTube, Facebook, Spotify, or Apple Music. So, for creators like me, the demand for more content continues to rise, but the income stream from the content has plummeted to almost zero.

There are many ways you can help.

Tell me your stories. Meet me at a show. Engage with me on social media. Write me a letter. Your encouragement and love impacts me every day. It feeds me emotionally, creatively, and physically. I'm so grateful that you are a part of my life.

You can also help support me here, financially, through Patreon. The truth is, I can't do any of this without your support, and I'm so grateful for it. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and for whatever level of support you feel you can provide.
