About Ellie McEla

Hi there! I'm a Norwegian contemporary composer, arranger, and violist, and I study composition with Arnt Håkon Ånesen. My oeuvre for now is relatively small, but I hope that through pledgings from Patreon, I will be able to write better works, eventually for larger and larger ensembles.

My style for now is mostly inspired by early '70s prog rock, Béla Bartók and Dmitri Shostakovich - though I hope to expand my style in more extreme directions.

Some of my best works for now, include:
"And His Name Is...", for chamber ensemble - a work inspired by the wrestling figure John Cena.
Concerto for Ocarina and Orchestra, inspired by the Legend of Zelda series, and Ocarina virtuoso David Erick-Ramos.
